RAL Excellence in Mentoring Award

Since coming to NCAR in 1997, Fei has made mentoring a priority. He has mentored numerous staff and students on land-surface modeling. Fei has hosted regular summer visitors that have worked in RAL for many years. Fei provides a nurturing environment as well as timely feedback to his mentees. They seek out his advice in all aspects of their scientific work. His impact is revealed through his scientific guidance, his impact on the field, and his many scientific papers.
