About

The 2017 USDA Strategic Plan for Climate Change Science will identify priority scientific areas to empower land managers, decision makers, and policy makers to manage the risks, challenges, and opportunities presented by climate change, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, forests, and grasslands.  An additional section on Indicators and Metrics will identify indicators of climate change effects, adaptation, mitigation and decision support, and the metrics of the science being performed to address each.

The objective of the meeting will be to receive input from across USDA on the new climate change science and research needed by the USDA Mission and Research agencies.
