MathWorks Tech Session- Artificial Intelligence with MATLAB & Python Interoperability

NSF NCAR and UCAR Internal Event

Apr. 30, 2024

1:00 – 3:00 pm MDT

FL2-1001 and Hybird
Main content

Success with AI requires more than training an AI model, especially in AI-driven systems that make decisions and act on them. A solid AI workflow involves preparing the data, creating a model, designing the system on which the model will run, and deploying it to hardware or enterprise systems. In this session, we explore the fundamentals of AI using MATLAB. We introduce Machine Learning (including Deep Learning) techniques available in MATLAB to quickly explore your data, evaluate models, compare the results, and apply the best technique.

MATLAB

Highlights include:

  • Training, evaluating, and comparing a range of AI models
  • Using refinement and reduction techniques to create models that best capture the predictive power of your data
  • Deploying AI models to production in a variety of formats
  • Call Python libraries from MATLAB
  • Call user-defined Python commands, scripts, and modules
  • Call MATLAB from Python

Speakers

  • Paul Nihill, Principal Account Manager for Earth and Planetary Sciences
  • Louvere Walker-Hannon, Senior Team Lead, Application Engineering
  • Brett Shoelson, Principal Application Engineer

This is a free hybrid event for NSF NCAR and UCAR employees. Please join us in-person and grab your MATLAB give-aways!
