RAL Convergence Science Program Ambassadors

NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research

The NSF NCAR Convergence Science Program (website) was recently started by the Directorate to accelerate NSF NCAR’s leadership role in enabling and conducting convergence for the Earth Systems Science (ESS) community. The program's vision is for NSF NCAR to be a place where convergence for ESS is deeply understood, valued, and supported – scientifically, culturally, and financially. In this seminar, members of the program from RAL will present an overview of the program and its key efforts, discuss what convergence research is, provide some examples, and host a discussion and answer questions about convergence. This seminar is meant to also help lay the foundation for RAL's upcoming strategic planning efforts related to convergence.
