Welcome to the Community Snow Affinity Group!

This group was established to facilitate research, communication, and collaboration focusing on snow sciences. This effort is led by NSF NCAR in collaboration with the external scientific community, including university partners and other institutions. We welcome researchers focusing on snow observations and/or modeling as well as snow-related applications in actionable Earth system sciences. NSF NCAR organizes regular meetings and other events to foster communications and collaborations to tackle key research challenges related to snow and to gather feedback on future directions in snow sciences.

Current Participants:

  • NSF NCAR
  • NOAA
  • Airborne Snow Observatories (ASO) Inc.
  • University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)
